fairs and exhibitions in chennai
After a gap of 10 days i m back n blogger, got some hands on experience in coimbatore, its famous institution PSG , kovai, blue mountian, and intercity expresses. I will blog these at a later point of time.. now some flash back....
During my childhood days I used to visit various fairs and exhibitions held in Chennai, with my uncle. One among them is HOME TRADE FAIR which is being held annually at Kamraaj grounds in Teynampet. It is considered to be one of the largest consumer exhibitions in Chennai. It will be full of fun and I love to visit it. Being in a city like Chennai (actually in Tiruvallur – about an hours travel), it is my strong opinion that as and when possible we should visit those fairs.
The next biggest fair which I never want to miss is the GREAT BOOK FAIR which is held annually by BAPASI at the
Though every year I got around Rs.1000 for the books, from my father I never achieved my target by spending the money since my father doesn’t likes for spending the money on books. (i.e. I like to have a mini library in the house while he wishes to use the resources of library instead of buying up the books.) This is only for general books and for text books I got all the books as soon as I reported him. He is also an ardent reader but don’t advocate the buying of books I don’t know why..? Anyway what I will spend was somewhere around Rs.300-400 and returns back the money to my father so that both of our philosophies were equally balanced.
There are various other fairs like ICE (Indian consumer Exhibition) conducted every year at Pachayappa’s college ground, consumer exhibition conducted by the Government of India at the islands grounds, and worth to mention CHENNAI TRADE FAIR CENTER , where various kind of fairs are conducted. Just watch out for the advertisements and do visit at least those fairs which are free to enter .
Finally there is another fair which I waited eagerly but was ending in vain at all times yes they are JOB FAIRS. I have attended some 3 to 4 such fairs which are typically remembered for their long queue ……..!
