60 years since....!

Its 60 years since India is being begun to rule by Indians, that’s how I could perceive Independence. Had India really progressed under Independence? – a definitely big YES, especially after the economic reforms in early 90s, which witnessed many enterprenuers establishing themselves, had Naryanamoorthy sold his firm in the pre reform era, we couldn’t have IT hub now. The vacuum created by the outing of IBM, offered Asim premji a perfect platform for diversification, from soap to software. Multi million Mergers & Acquisitions have became a reality by the India inc. now.

But whether really Indians have improved, had their lifestyle bettered? – Again yes, we can say upper class have improved, off late due to the economic reforms, the complete middle class bracket is making a steady progress. And even it offered some down class people a perfect level playing field to prove & improve themselves. But still BPL is not eradicated, still five years plans are being formulated in vain, for their betterment and on the other hand farmers are left with uncertainty. It’s the high time for thinking of some revolutions again with the technological impact. Governments should take care the option of providing farmers with all the latest technological advancement facilities instead of giving political colors with the free power or free land. Something is needed to be done for crop insurance especially when their living gets disturbed due to monsoon or some natural calamities.
On the lines of farmers, another set of people who are deprived of luxuries of life, are the employees of unorganized sector who badly needs some hand of help from the government.
Reservations, both caste-based & religion based prove to be hampering the common interests of the people. They still exist as political issue and electoral banking issue. Thay have to be undone or to be modified based on the latest data.
Growing problems between states on various issues especially for water in South India, will have to be stopped with immediate effect, by the Union government with its special powers offered to it by the constitution of India. But which political party or which politician is daring enough to do so?
A special plan is needed for the improvement of NE states, which still remains isolated from some other states.
Young India contributes to the IT & ITES with overwhelming enthusiasim. But what we need to cherish our freedom is a balanced growth of both Urban & Rural India, all from Kargil to kanniyakumari, Expecting our so-called democratic governments to come out with real action plans.
Barring a few mentioned above instances and a lot other nuisances,In all India & Indians have progressed enough to be decorated with Nobels, Magsaseys & Bookers.

Wish you all my readers a self-realized Independence day ahead.
