Malaikottai – A Review

BoopatiPandiyan – Back from the breezy “Thiruvilayadal Arambam”, has made a decent name teller, commercially. The prima-facie reason for me to catch this movie is “Muttazhagu”, yeap Priyamani. Previously Sneha used to be my prima-facie reasons for watching movies and now its Priyamani’s turn!.But she has no scope in this movie apart from being a charming Tamil heroine. She could have got more generous costumes! Miniskirt is what she got in all songs!.

It’s a story with lot of commerciality and yeap good time passer!. I wondered wheteher Vishal will have any wounds or will break the rules of a cini hero.In the climax fight, he proves to be a Tamil hero. Before that I couldn’t remember any frame, in which he was being wounded. But still he can be forgiven for his extra-heroical stunts, when compared with his contemporary Dhanush (Sullan) on the grounds of their physique & screen image. An opening song as a sequel of TheradiVeethiyil (Run) and a remix of Mohan’s “Hey atha” are catchy hits. Very usual comedies bring loads of laughter instantly. I hope movie would reap success commercially.! Apart from setting aside logics.

Pune – Ganesh

Some of my captures during the 10 day long festivity.

If Ganesh chaturthi is the birthday of elephant god, then Pune is considered to be the birth place of the culture of celebrating it with great fervor rather in grand manner. Time machine turns back to 1893 when Bala Gangadhara Tilak, found a new way to mobilize the anti-British thoughts, in the form of Ganesh to inspire people. This legacy is inherited till now, with dynamic evolutions to the agenda.

Nowadays in each 10 days, the mandals take up a scence from ancient epics and they enact they using such puppets. (mechanically as wellas manually).

This capture is Krishna Viswaroop from mahabharatha.

This scence is saint Tukaram attaining sainthood from panduranga.

Such group dancing adds color to the festival. Not to mention women leads the group.

The glittering procession on last Tuesday (25-09-07) lasted as long as 31 hours, closing traffic.
